Sharmin Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Director to lead its Administration, Human Resources, and Compliance functions. The ideal candidate will play a strategic role in shaping organizational policies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving a high-performance culture. This leadership position requires a results-driven individual with strong interpersonal skills and a proven track record in managing corporate governance, talent development, and operational efficiency within a fast-paced industrial or corporate environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Having sound knowledge on Bangladesh Labor Law-2006, Bangladesh Labor Rules-2015
- Ensure development and implementation of HR policies & Procedure to support the company's business objectives in accordance with legal perspective and cost control in respective administrative activities.
- To continually assess and evaluate manpower planning.
- Ensure appropriate recruitment action plan to support talent sourcing.
- Manage the recruiting process to attract and hire qualified candidates for position vacancies within the company.
- Monitor & Maintain Leave and Attendance, Payroll Management.
- Ensure legal compliance of policies and procedures, termination, dismissal Compensation, disciplinary action, etc.
- Formulate employee motivation factors, counseling, grievance and labor handling, conflict management etc.
- To implement all labor laws and to deal with personnel and labor matters.
- To apply modern management methods and techniques for efficient management for the Corporation and the Enterprise through efficient personnel management.
- Ensure Access/Right to Inspection during buyer's Audits.
- Follow up / take instant corrective action on auditors’ certain minor findings /discrepancies during audit.
- Follow up that all corrective action has been taken/follow up regularly as per CAP submitted/ given.
- Take proper and immediate steps to improve factory conditions those will get object of non-compliance from buyers and take all possible steps to adhere with buyer's compliance inspection.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues.
- Provide day to day administration and support services to the employees relating to Safety, Security, Health, and House Keeping.
- Manage HR functions including office time, leave management and disciplinary functions effectively.
- Maintain the procedure of disciplinary action, resignation, dismissal, discharge and termination procedure and records.
- Proper handling of resigned or termination cases as per policy and rules in time.
- Develop & implement performance appraisal policy and overall training.
- Ensure 100% implementation of buyer's COC, Labor Law 2006, 2015 and Labor Rules.
- Ensure the factories always prepared/ready for the following audits like Social compliance Audit, Technical/Quality Assurance Audit & Security System Audit (CTPAT).
- Ensure all aspects of Environmental sustainability.
- Monitor compliance certification like WRAP, BSCI, ISO, SEDEX, OEKOTEX, RSC & Nirapon, etc. and able to face their different audits with requirements.
- Ensure Compliance on Health & Safety as per in house checklist.
- Ensure Non-Discrimination in course of employment, paying/providing wages/salary/benefits/ facilities/welfare.
- Ensure that no Force Employment occurred in the factories.
- Ensure that Employment of No Child/Child Looking Workers are in practice.
- Follow up / take instant corrective action on auditors certain minor findings /discrepancies during the audit.
- Take proper and immediate steps to improve factory conditions those will get the object of non-compliance from buyers and take all possible steps to adhere with buyers compliance inspection.
- Communicate with Fire & Civil defense Department, Labor Office, Labor Court, Police Station, Local Influences and Labor Federation, etc.
- To lead, direct, control, motivate, appraise & trained-up fellow staffs.
- Perform any other work as assigned by the management from time to time.
Academic Qualifications:
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Concentration/Major: Accounting/Finance/Management
Professional Certifications:
- Professional training on HR & Compliance will be added an advantage.
