Sterling Styles Limited is seeking a dedicated and responsible Welfare Officer to support employee well-being and ensure compliance with labor standards within the factory. The role focuses on maintaining a healthy work environment, addressing worker concerns, and facilitating communication between management and employees. The Welfare Officer will oversee worker welfare programs, assist in resolving grievances, ensure adherence to labor laws and company policies, and promote a positive workplace culture. Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills, a good understanding of compliance requirements, and a commitment to worker rights and safety.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between workers and management to ensure clear communication and mutual understanding.
- Monitor and support employee welfare, including health, safety, and general working conditions.
- Handle worker grievances, complaints, and disciplinary issues in a fair and timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and buyer requirements.
- Conduct regular factory floor visits to observe conditions and identify welfare-related concerns.
- Organize awareness sessions on worker rights, health, hygiene, and workplace safety.
- Maintain proper records of employee issues, resolutions, and welfare activities.
- Support audits (social/compliance) by preparing documents and coordinating with auditors.
- Assist in implementing policies related to harassment prevention, equality, and ethical practices.
- Coordinate with HR and other departments to improve employee engagement and satisfaction.
Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts (BA)
- Concentration/Major: BBA/MBA, BA from any discipline
