The Manager – Compliance at DEKKO Legacy Group is responsible for ensuring that all business operations, particularly within manufacturing and supply chain functions, adhere to local labor laws, international standards, and buyer-specific compliance requirements. The role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance policies related to workplace safety, ethical sourcing, environmental practices, and social accountability.
This position requires close coordination with internal departments, factory management, and external auditors to maintain certifications and pass compliance audits (such as BSCI, SEDEX, WRAP, and buyer Code of Conduct audits). The manager also plays a key role in identifying compliance gaps, conducting risk assessments, leading corrective action plans, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and ethical business practices across the organization.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensure factory compliance with local labor laws, buyer codes of conduct, and international compliance standards.
- Manage and coordinate social, technical, environmental, and security audits including BSCI, SEDEX, WRAP, ICS, HIGG, ISO, and buyer-specific audits.
- Prepare factories for announced and unannounced compliance audits.
- Develop, implement, and monitor corrective action plans (CAPs) following audit findings.
- Maintain all compliance-related documentation, records, policies, and certifications.
- Conduct regular internal compliance inspections and risk assessments.
- Monitor workplace health & safety standards, fire safety systems, and environmental compliance practices.
- Coordinate with HR, Administration, Production, and EHS teams to ensure compliance requirements are effectively implemented.
- Organize compliance training programs for employees, supervisors, and management staff.
- Ensure proper implementation of labor standards including working hours, wages, overtime, leave, child labor prevention, anti-harassment, and grievance handling.
- Liaise with buyers, third-party auditors, government agencies, and certification bodies.
- Monitor corrective measures related to sustainability, chemical management, waste management, and environmental impact reduction.
- Prepare periodic compliance reports for senior management and buyers.
- Stay updated on changes in labor laws, compliance regulations, and buyer requirements.
Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)
- Concentration/Major: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in HR, Law, Environmental Science, or related field.
