Job Description:

Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka is looking for a motivated and analytical Assistant Manager – Finance to support the hotel’s financial operations. This role is responsible for assisting in financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and compliance in accordance with corporate policies and local regulations. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, and effective internal controls, contributing to the hotel’s overall financial health and operational efficiency.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Assistant Manager Finance shall be the sole responsible for all aspects of budgetary activities, implementation of Finance policies, maintaining inter-departmental working relationships as well as assist the Executive Assistant Manager-Finance in the implementation of overall financial strategies and plans. The incumbent has to perform the following duties but not limited to, as follows:
  2. Ensure and follow up Financial Reporting, understand & review financial results, monitor & take action to ensure profitability of the businesses.
  3. Determine appropriate Finance strategies in all business/customer segments towards maximizing the Hotel revenue.
  4. Protect the integrity of the business by the systematic application of the Company’s internal control procedures & ensure full compliance.
  5. Handle External & Internal Audit as well as vast knowledge on Bangladesh Audit Standard and regulations.
  6. Maintain liaison with the stakeholders to ensure accurate cross-billing and day end reconciliations.
  7. Verify all financial reports and ensure that all transactions are accurate and in compliance with local government regulations.
  8. Maintain a very good congenial atmosphere and coordination with the Departments regarding all types of Communications.
  9. Ensure compliance with local tax laws, VAT, and other statutory regulations, and assist with audits and external reporting requirements.
  10. Monitor accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries to maintain accurate financial records.
  11. Assist in developing and implementing internal financial controls and procedures to safeguard the hotel’s assets.
  12. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate financial information flow.
  13. Support cost control initiatives and contribute to improving financial efficiency across hotel operations.
  14. Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies as required.
  15. Supervise and mentor junior finance staff to ensure adherence to policies and continuous professional development.
  16. Perform any other lawful assignment given by the Competent Management on emergency requirement basis.


Academic Qualifications:
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Concentration/Major: Accounting/Finance/Management
Professional Certifications:
  • Partly qualified in CA/ICMA/CA.CC will be an added advantage

  5. Additional Requirements:

    1. Minimum 05 (five) years of relevant experience in a reputed establishment/MNC or local organization. Experience related to Hospitality Industry will be given preference.
    2. Must have sound knowledge on Income Tax, VAT & Foreign Currency Regulations and related regulations.
    3. Have in-depth knowledge on Internal Audit & standard regulations.
    4. Should possess strong networking capability, entertaining inhouse staff requirements, ability to plan ahead and ready to work under pressure.
    5. Ability to implement and maintain PPSD Finance and other relevant policy.
    6. Age & Experience limit may be relaxed for extraordinary candidates as per the discretion of the Management.
