The Accountant will handle the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities of a Bangladesh Distribution business. This is a hands-on operational role that includes Accounts Payable and Receivable, Bank and Inventory Reconciliation, VAT/TDS documentation and monthly closing and assisting with regulatory compliance. This position reports directly to the Finance Manager and is critical to maintaining audit-ready accounts in a fast-paced import and distribution environment. Practical experience in NBR VAT (Mushak), TDS/AIT documentation and ERP/Accounting software is a must.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate accounting records, journal entries, vouchers and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, process vendor payments, maintain customer ledgers and follow-up for collection of dues.
• Assist in bank reconciliation, cash transactions and petty cash management and cash flow reporting.
• Assist in inventory accounting, stock reconciliation, landed cost calculation and inventory valuation.
• Assist in VAT, tax and statutory compliance activities including audit preparation and regulatory documentation.
• Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedule and assist in payroll administration.
• Prepare financial reports, reconciliations, accounts payable lists and coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Academic Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)
• Concentration/Major: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from a recognized Bangladeshi university
