Deshbandhu Group is seeking a Consultant – Legal to provide legal guidance and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The role involves drafting and reviewing contracts, advising management on legal matters, handling corporate documentation, coordinating with external lawyers and regulatory authorities, managing litigation, and minimizing legal risks while supporting the company's business operations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Practicing preventative law, providing legal advice and assistance to management and internal departments.
2. Represent and defend cases before the court on behalf of company.
3. Drafting various agreements, undertakings, board resolutions, Memorandum of Association, notices, replies to notices & regulatory letters and MoUs.
4. Strong analytical skills with expertise in civil, criminal, corporate, admiralty cases.
5. Handle case analysis, legal research and dispute resolution.
6. Manage and support litigation and arbitrary matters.
7. Advise on company law, regulatory, compliance and corporate governance.
8. Appearing in litigation and tribunal hearings on behalf of the company.
9. Deal with any kind of hearing of the court with regard to company business.
10. Take initiative & legal action according to the management decision.
11. Extensive experience in handling financial litigation before the Lower Courts and the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh.
12. Provide risk assessment in strategic decision making on legal issues.
13. Liaise with external lawyers, courts and regulatory authorities.
14. Proven experience in Civil and Criminal litigation and dispute resolution.
15. Perform any other work as per assigned by the top management.

Academic Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Arts (BA)
• Concentration/Major: Bachelor /Master of Law (LLB/LLM) or Related Field

Professional Certifications:

• Barrister at Law is preferred.
