Roles and Responsibilities:
- Prevent stockouts and excess inventory by maintaining optimal stock levels, forecasting demand, and analyzing inventory data to ensure efficient stock management for production.
- Analyse expenditure trends, monitor actual spending against forecasts, and optimize procurement, warehousing, and distribution costs to identify and implement savings opportunities.
- Maintain and improve automated warehouse systems for efficient store operations, while ensuring the efficient handling of inventory.
- Oversee the management of unusable GMTS/fabric/accessories, coordinating their disposal or reuse in accordance with company policies.
- Plan and organize daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient material storage, inventory handling, and proper allocation of roles to staff.
- Ensure all store operations comply with legal, health, safety, and environmental standards, and maintain accurate records for audits and internal reporting.
- Develop training programs to enhance team skills and ensure staff are properly trained to perform duties effectively and efficiently.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to optimize operational efficiency within the warehouse and inventory management systems.
- Work closely with Procurement, Production, Finance, and Commercial teams to align goals and ensure a smooth flow of materials through the supply chain.
- Regularly report on inventory levels, stock movement, financial metrics, and key operational issues to senior management to provide updates and insights for decision-making.
- Forecast material requirements, manage supplier relationships, and ensure timely deliveries, aligning with procurement and production planning teams.
- Ensure that materials meet required standards before being issued for production, conduct inspections, tests, and resolve challenges such as inventory shortages, material defects, and operational disruptions.
Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)
- Concentration/Major: BBA/MBA in Accounting or Finance or related field.
