DEKKO Legacy Group is looking for an experienced and creative Assistant Fashion Designer (Woven Bottom) to designing and developing woven bottom wear, preparing sketches and technical details, selecting fabrics, trims, and colors, and coordinating with merchandising and production teams to ensure designs meet quality and market requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Support the Designer/Sr. Fashion Designer in developing woven-bottom collections for denim and non-denim categories.
2. Prepare design sketches, mood boards, color palettes, fabric and trim boards, and seasonal product presentations.
3. Assist in developing jeans, chinos, cargos, formal trousers, and other woven-bottom styles based on buyer requirements and market trends.
4. Coordinate with fabric mills, suppliers, and merchandising teams for fabric, wash, trim, and accessory sourcing.
5. Prepare and update tech packs, artwork, measurement charts, construction details, and sample comments.
6. Follow up on sample development with the sample room, production, washing, quality, and merchandising teams.
7. Review fit samples and provide feedback under the guidance of the senior design team.
8. Research competitor products, seasonal trends, washes, fabrics, colors, and styling details relevant to target markets.
9. Assist in buyer presentations and ensure design information is accurately communicated to internal and external stakeholders.
10. Maintain organized records of design developments, samples, fabrics, trims, and approvals.
11. Ensure designs meet required quality standards, cost targets, customer expectations, and production timelines.

Academic Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science (BSc)
• Concentration/Major: BSc in Fashion Designing or a relevant discipline.

5. Additional Requirements:
   • Sound knowledge of men’s woven-bottom apparel, including denim jeans, chinos, twill trousers, cargo pants, formal trousers, and casual bottoms.
   • Familiarity with fabric, wash, trim, and accessories selection for denim and non-denim products.
   • Good understanding of garment construction, fit, measurements, pattern, and technical specifications.
   • Ability to develop design sketches, mood boards, color stories, and sample comments.
   • Basic proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Clo3D, Gerber, or other relevant design software.
   • Knowledge of current fashion trends, washes, finishes, silhouettes, and details in UK and Canadian markets will be an advantage.
   • Good communication and presentation skills.
   • Ability to work under pressure, follow deadlines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
