Job Description:

Meghna Group of Industries is looking for an Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager – Accounts (Power & Solar Energy) to oversee financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, tax/VAT compliance, and cost control for power and solar energy projects. The role will ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and oversee day-to-day accounts of the Power, Energy & Solar Unit, including cash, bank transactions, fund flow, and reconciliation.
  2. Review and maintain bills, vouchers, invoices, and supporting documents related to power, energy, solar, fuel, maintenance, and operational expenses.
  3. Verify bills and payments and analyze operational costs and expenses to support effective cost control.
  4. Maintain general ledger, books of accounts, journal entries, and financial records in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
  5. Monitor payables, receivables, supplier bills, and inter-company/internal transactions, ensuring timely reconciliation and settlement.
  6. Assist to prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports and provide accurate financial information.
  7. Coordinate with the respective business unit and support inventory verification, and proper maintenance of fixed asset and other accounting records.

Academic Qualifications:
  • Master of Commerce (Mcom)
  • Concentration/Major: Bachelor's/ Masters in Accounting / Finance / Business Administration or Related Field

  5. Additional Requirements:

    • Candidates from Power, Energy & Solar business companies will be given preference.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze financial data, costs, and reconciliations.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting software, MS Excel, and financial reporting.
    • Good knowledge of bill checking, reconciliation, VAT/Tax, and cost analysis.
    • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
