DEKKO Legacy Group is looking for an experienced and creative Designer / Sr. Fashion Designer to designing and developing woven bottom wear, preparing sketches and technical details, selecting fabrics, trims, and colors, and coordinating with merchandising and production teams to ensure designs meet quality and market requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Lead the design of formal trousers for the UK market and performance wear for the Canadian market, ensuring alignment with customer expectations, market trends, and brand identity.
2. Source fabrics directly from mills and establish strong relationships with suppliers for trims and materials. Ensure that all sourced fabrics meet quality and performance standards.
3. Manage and mentor a team of junior designers, providing guidance, feedback, and support to help them grow professionally.
4. Collaborate directly with buyers, presenting design concepts, samples, and specifications. Ensure client requirements and deadlines are met.
5. Contribute to the development of brand identity and storytelling for each collection, ensuring designs communicate a strong narrative that resonates with target customers.
6. Work on presentations for clients and internal stakeholders and support the development of marketing tools and promotional materials.
7. Utilize 3D design software (e.g., Clo3D, Gerber) to create virtual prototypes and presentations where applicable.
8. Stay up to date with current fashion trends and competitors in the UK and Canadian markets. Integrate these insights into design development.
9. Work closely with the production and quality control teams to ensure designs meet the highest standards of quality and are produced within budget and timelines.

Academic Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science (BSc)
• Concentration/Major: BSc in Fashion Designing or a relevant discipline.
