The Officer – Fire & Safety will be responsible for implementing and monitoring fire prevention, safety policies, and emergency response protocols across the factory premises. The role ensures compliance with local safety regulations and buyer standards while promoting a culture of health and safety within the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Inspect and maintain fire safety equipment (extinguishers, alarms, hydrants, detectors, etc.).
• Conduct regular fire drills and evacuation training.
• Monitor fire control room and fire detection systems.
• Ensure adherence to national safety laws, labor laws, and buyer compliance requirements.
• Maintain accurate records for audits and safety inspections.
• Identify potential hazards and conduct risk assessments in production and utility areas.
• Recommend corrective actions and ensure implementation.
• Respond promptly to fire, safety, or emergency incidents.
• Investigate root causes and prepare reports with corrective action plans.
• Conduct regular training for workers and staff on fire safety, first aid, and emergency response.
• Raise awareness of safe behavior and use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Coordinate with local fire authorities, compliance auditors, and external safety inspectors.
• Support internal and external audits related to safety.
• Maintain logs, safety checklists, inspection records, and safety meeting minutes.
• Prepare monthly fire & safety reports for management.
• Develop and update emergency evacuation plans and ensure all departments are aware of protocols.

Academic Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)
• Concentration/Major: Graduation in any discipline

Professional Certifications:

• FSCD certificate.
