Job Description:

Cassiopea Sweaters Ltd. is looking for a detail-oriented and responsible professional for the position of Procurement & Accounts Officer. The role involves managing purchasing activities, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring timely procurement of materials while supporting day-to-day accounting functions. The incumbent will be responsible for cost control, invoice processing, financial record-keeping, and ensuring compliance with company policies to support smooth operational and financial performance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Process daily factory requisitions from Production, Maintenance, Store, and Admin departments
  • Collect and compare minimum three quotations for all purchases as per company SOP
  • Prepare purchase orders, work orders, and follow up with vendors for timely delivery
  • Coordinate with the Store department for goods receipt, inspection, and documentation
  • Maintain vendor database, vendor evaluation records, and price history files
  • Ensure all vendor payments are processed through cheque or bank transfer (no cash payments) as per company policy
  • Maintain physical and digital files for all procurement documents (requisitions, quotations, POs, delivery challans, invoices)
  • Support the Accounts department with filing, document organization, and retrieval of invoices, vouchers, and payment records
  • Assist in monthly procurement reporting and vendor reconciliation
  • Follow up on pending requisitions and escalate delays to the Head of Procurement / Finance
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement SOP, three-quotation rule, and approval hierarchy
  • Support factory audits by providing required procurement and accounts documentation

Academic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Arts (BA)
  • Concentration/Major: Graduate/Masters in any discipline
Others Requirements:
  1. Age: 25 - 35 years

  3. Training/Course: MS Office
  4. Area of Expertise: Supply Chain Management
  5. Additional Requirements:

    • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic formulas)
    • Good documentation and filing discipline
    • Familiarity with ERP or inventory management software preferred
    • Ability to communicate in Bangla and basic English (written and spoken)
    • Must be honest, organized, and comfortable working in a factory environment
